Medvigy\u00a0G\u00e1bor 1979-ben tett f\u00e9nyk\u00e9p\u00e9sz vizsg\u00e1t, majd a Mafilm munkat\u00e1rsa lett. 1986-ban, a Sz\u00ednh\u00e1z- \u00e9s Filmm\u0171v\u00e9szeti F\u0151iskola operat\u0151ri szak\u00e1n, Koltai Lajos oszt\u00e1ly\u00e1ban v\u00e9gzett. Tarr B\u00e9la h\u00e1rom vil\u00e1gh\u00edr\u0171 alkot\u00e1s\u00e1t (K\u00e1rhozat, S\u00e1t\u00e1ntang\u00f3, Werckmeister harm\u00f3ni\u00e1k) is f\u00e9nyk\u00e9pezte, de az \u0151 nev\u00e9hez f\u0171z\u0151dik a T\u00f6red\u00e9k vagy a Dolina c\u00edm\u0171 filmek k\u00e9pi vil\u00e1g\u00e1nak megalkot\u00e1sa is.
